You’re in the best hands for your Oral Surgery needs.

At Heslington Dental Practice, our primary goal is to protect and restore your natural smile however, there are times when an extraction is the healthiest path forward and this can particularly be the case for problematic wisdom teeth.

Utilising advanced 3D scanning technology, we precisely assess each case to ensure a predictable and comfortable outcome, including you throughout the process and creating a treatment plan to meet your needs.

You are in expert hands – both Emma and Katie have completed postgraduate training in Oral Surgery. Furthermore, Emma brings specialised hospital-grade experience through her role in the Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Scarborough Hospital. Whether you are a regular patient or have been referred to us, our team provides comprehensive surgical care entirely in-house.

🦷 Common Oral Surgery Procedures include:

We offer a host of extraction services in-house, from routine care to complex surgical cases:

  • Routine Dental Extractions: This involves gentle removal of teeth which are beyond repair due to decay or trauma.

  • Wisdom Tooth Removal: Expert management of simple and impacted wisdom teeth, this also includes complex cases ordinarily referred to a hospital.

  • Orthodontic Extractions: Proactive removal of healthy teeth to create the necessary space for braces and alignment.

  • Complex & Surgical Extractions: Involves proficient removal of difficult, fractured, or “buried” tooth fragments and roots.

  • Rescue of Failed Extractions: Specialised care to complete procedures that may have been started elsewhere but proved difficult to finish.

  • Paediatric Extractions: Careful and gentle removal of primary (baby) teeth when they are causing pain or preventing adult teeth from erupting.

All treatments are performed using Local Anesthesia to minimise patient discomfort.

Recognizing that dental work can cause anxiety, we focus on a compassionate approach to patient care, providing a supportive environment designed to put your mind at rest.

As a provider of dental sedation in Heslington, we are uniquely equipped to care for your whole family. From calming ‘Gas and Air‘ for children to IV sedation for adults, we prioritise your comfort every step of the way, making ‘dental anxiety’ a thing of the past.
