Who is Denplan

Denplan is Uk’s largest dental plan payment scheme. They have worked alongside dentists like us for almost 30 years, this in turn supports the patients that join the scheme. The whole ethos of denplan is prevention, they believe you should get the care and treatment you need and in turn feel better about your overall dental health.

What is Denplan

Simply put, Denplan is an affordable monthly payment which can cover a wide range dental treatments and essential maintenance for you or the whole family. Denplan helps form healthy habits of regular check ups with a dentist. This means you’ll always have up to date expert advice about your teeth. It helps keep your teeth in great condition and avoid any surprises. Your dental plan will include dental x-rays and a hygiene treatment along with worldwide dental emergency cover and an out of hours service for emergency appointments. 

How do I set up a dental plan?

Setting up a dental plan helps budget for your dental care. It’s also a step closure to preventative dental health. We’re able to set the plans up either by phone call 01904 904 500 or via face to face at our dental practice (11-12 Main Street, York, YO10 5EA). We’re able to accommodate family members too and also provide a small discount of up to 15% depending on how many family members you would like Denplan to cover ( 5% for 2 group members, 10% for 3 group members and 15% for 4 or more). Setting up the plan has many benefits such as

  • Cover for regular checkups, hygiene treatment, dental x-rays and expert advice from a dentist.

  • Receive discounts on regular care which range from 10% off treatments all the way to 100% if you’re on a Denplan care plan.

Which Denplan Dental plan should I join?

Once our dentists have you dentally fit they will perform a dental assessment which will provide you with the category of Denplan banding you would fit into. As everyone’s oral health needs are different this is a bespoke dental assessment tailor made just for you.

There are 2 different Denplan schemes, Denplan Essentials and Denplan Children, a preassessment isn’t required for Denplan Essentials however it is for Childrens plans.

If you’ve got this far, well done! Here’s a little tip, if you sign up to Denplan Essentials first whether you are dentall fit or not you will receive 10% off all future treatments while on essentials, that has to be worth it for reading this far!

How do I pay for the Dental Plans

Payment for all dental plans are taken via direct debit by Denplan. Any treatment needed outside of the plan on a private pay as you go basis will be taken directly at the practice either by credit/debit card, cash or via one of our 0% finance deals.

Do the plans have some common features?

Yes, regardless of which plan you choose all plans have the following overlapping features:

  • Denplan Family discount group
    • 2 people = 5% discount each off the monthly price plan
    • 3 people = 10% discount each off the price plan
    • 4 or more = 15% discount off the price plan
  • All plans provide you with worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (supplementary insurance) which Denplan arranges on your behalf if you’re away from the UK. All you need to do is call the helpline number and they will arrange the rest for you.
  • If you need an emergency appointment and are within 40 miles of your home, Denplan will find a local Denplan dentist that will be able to relieve you of pain that day or the very next day free of charge.
  • All dental plans help you spread the cost of your dental care throughout the year
  • All dental plans cover you for essential maintenance and provide access to expert advice from a dentist
